Term Time Absence
Research shows that high attendance at school gives better opportunity to greater academic achievement and it is important to recognise the link between the two at Henry Chichele Primary School. The vast majority of our students achieve over 96% attendance and this is what we expect from all students as a minimum.
Rules regarding term time absence changed in September 2024, more guidance to follow.
If you believe you have an exceptional circumstance for your child to be absent from school during term time, please complete our Leave-of-Absence-Notification form and send to the school office. This will be reviewed by the headteacher and you will be informed if the reason for absence has been authorised or not.
As you will appreciate, this is a change in the law beyond the control of Henry Chichele Primary School, but we do support the principle behind it. Please do contact the Headteacher if you need any further assistance with this.
