Houses

Our house point system celebrates effort, kindness, and achievement across the school. Rooted in the history of Higham Ferrers, each house connects pupils to the local heritage, creating a strong sense of identity and pride.

Children earn house points for demonstrating positive attitudes such as perseverance, teamwork, and respect. These points recognise the small but meaningful moments where pupils make a difference, helping to build confidence and a sense of accomplishment.

Our houses are especially meaningful as the children themselves designed them, giving pupils a real sense of ownership and belonging. Through friendly competition and shared goals, the house system brings our school community together, celebrating both individual success and collective achievement.

POINTS

House points are awarded at the end of every lesson (4 per day), rewarding pupils for being engaged in, and completing, their learning. Bonus house points will also be awarded for following our school rules, for showing our values and for special accomplishments. The pupils earn house points for themselves and for their house too.

House points will be recorded using Dojos. Class Dojos is a digital platform that allows schools to build a positive classroom culture. Each pupil has an individual, Dojo avatar, which is password protected, onto which their points are recorded.
