Parent Workshops

The school works with a number of external agencies to deliver live workshops to our school community. We create every opportunity to meet members of the management and inclusion team to gain information about the focus areas. For information and recordings of previous sessions please see below.

Upcoming sessions are planned for 2023 and will include 'Finding Solutions to Support your Child's Anxiety', 'Managing your Child's SATS Worries' and Prevent. For full details please see the school calendar or newsletter section.

Zones of Regulation
The programme aims to:

  • Explore the concept of regulation
  • Introduce the four colour zones and the emotions within them
  • Provide information on the zones in practice
  • Identify activities / practices that can aid self-regulation

  • Discuss the management of common childhood accidents and injuries
    Provide information on the management of childhood emergencies including choking, CPR, seizures and allergic reactions

Solihull Approach Parenting Programme
(A brief introduction to a parenting programme which will be available to parents early 2023.)
The programme aims to:

  • Emphasise the need for emotional containment and the presence of a reciprocal relationship.
  • Explore feelings.
  • Promote understanding of children’s behaviour.
  • Help parents understand the way a parent and child communicate
    Promote reflective, sensitive and effective parenting.
